APATHY
Apathy: “lack of interest, enthusaism or concern”
How to be an Anti-Knight
Do nothing
Stay home
Don’t care about others
Don’t be social
Don’t LIVE your Faith
Don’t reach out to those in need
Don’t do good deeds
Don’t join in to be a part of something that makes a difference
Forget about what it means to be a Catholic
Be comfortable, at home, on the couch watching TV/eating potato chips
Forget about being blessed, thankful, sharing
Convince yourself that not harming others is equivalent to helping others
Think that going to mass – quietly and privately – is enough to make you a good Catholic
Ignore the poverty, the suffering, the loneliness, the ignorance, and the want all around you
Don’t be a role model for the younger generation
Don’t stand up for the unborn and the dignity of all human life
Assume you are the best Catholic you can be already with no room for improvement and no need for others to lead or inspire
Ignore the four degrees of the Knights of Columbus – charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism… been there/done that
Avoid bonding with high-minded Catholic men, committed to the words of Christ, with good will and good intentions
Be an island, not a river
Believe charity is just checks, not deeds
Let others do the work
Isolate
Be a hermit Catholic
Make excuses
Stay home
Do nothing
