Schedule of Religious Retreats

The Regina Coeli Council of the Knights of Columbus of Saints Peter and Paul Parish will conduct three Days of Reflection/religious retreats in 2023.

  1. Saturday, April 15 from 10 to 3

A MEN’S retreat led by Deacon Mike Piehler of Pittsford, NY. Deacon Piehler spent six years as a Novice and Scholastic with the Basilian Fathers, several years as a college administrator at Saint John Fisher College, and four years in study and preparation at Saint Bernard’s Institute before being ordained in 1984. He was a Deacon for two years at Saint Francis Xavier, and 26 years at the Church of the Transfiguration in Pittsford. For 25 years, he led an annual working retreat to the poorest part of Appalachia. As a highly successful business professional, Mike ran an automotive business of 15 car dealerships. He is coming in from Palm Springs at his own expense to lead our retreat.

  2. Saturday, July 22 from 10-3

A WOMEN’S retreat led by Amy de Bernardo of Fairfax, VA. Ms. de Bernardo is an elementary catechist in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program at the Renaissance Montessori School in Nokesville, VA. Prior to this, Amy was the Director of Faith Formation at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Vienna, VA after serving in a similar capacity at a parish in southern New Jersey. Amy’s degree in Theological Studies is from Saint Louis University, and her Masters in Theology is from the University of Notre Dame.

  3. Saturday, September 2 from 10-2

A MEN’S retreat led by Father William Ryan, a Washington Dioscesan priest who has been a missionary in Togo, West Africa since 2006. His parish has grown from a single mud church with dirt floors, to a church, 13 chapels, 8 schools, a medical clinic, and girls’ and boys’ dormitories. Father Ryan has baptized thousands of Togolese, children and adults, and is responsible for the construction of fresh-water wells in 15 villages of his parish. He previously served in Hispanic ministry in Washington and its Maryland suburbs. While serving in Togo in the Peace Corps, he met an Archbishop who has informed Fr. Ryan that he is the only American Catholic missionary in the history of French-speaking Togo.
